On a Mission
"Every flower blooms at its own time" -Ken Petti
Life can be an overwhelming flood of yes or no decisions. Second guesses or confident conclusions. Moving forward or stepping into another direction.
I've been listening to Hillary Kerr's Second Life Podcast which has been so inspiring to me. Listening to the chronicles of successful women step into a career change at any age.
We evolve. And we should!
What may have been my identity 10 years ago is not the same today. And for the better. In my early 20's I was filled with tremendous self-doubt. Sometimes no matter how many times someone may tell you that you are smart, capable, and creative, or whatever it may be, it's not true until you see it yourself. And believe it.
Recently, I heard Marie Forleo speak at a conference and she said: "Don't start. Go! If you hold yourself back, you are stealing from others."
Three questions I ask myself, which seem so simple but can be so helpful, are:
1. Who am I?
2. What do I want?
3. Where am I going?
These questions can tailor your decisions and send you in the direction you want to go.
Just don't be afraid to pivot.
