New Year's Eve Sequin
2019. Wow. It seems like every single year I’m surprised to say that we’ve reached another new year. So with just a few days to go until NYE, it’s time to find something sequin to wear ASAP!
Sometimes I resign sequin to this special evening alone, but I have to say that I saw a lot more of it all year long! And that addition of sparkle makes me happy. Let’s make the world shine a little brighter.
With every year, there is a sequence of events planned or unplanned. Highs and lows. And I did have both. I can’t say that I’m thrilled or excited about every sequence of events that occurred in my life this year. They say you can be the architect of your life experience and build the foundation, not always knowing where the road will lead. I can’t even say that I’ve molded my attitude to be positive when I didn’t enjoy the road. Ever since I was little, people have told me that I light up a room when I enter it. As I’ve gone through life, I have always wanted to remain that sparkle in sometimes dim situations. To color the world with positivity and happiness. But this year, I have learned to give myself permission to feel all my feelings and not force myself to operate at a fullness of joy in every moment. I believe it’s important to be genuine, but why does that often go to the wayside with feelings of sadness or disappointment? I can be appropriate for the moment. It’s ok to have control of your own light and allow it to dim if need be. Just as long as you know how to turn it back on.
