Délicieux Parisian Eats
The Eiffel sparkling in the background, boats floating down the Seine, crepes being prepared down the way, and lovers endlessly kissing – there is some sort of magic in the air. That’s what Paris is, some sort of magic.
Indulging all the senses, the desire to immerse in new taste sensations is easily welcomed. Here are a few of my favorite.
#1. Coffee – Anywhere I swear! I confess it’s even delicious at a Parisian McDonald’s.
#2. Aperol Spritz – This delicious cocktail made with a bitter orange liquor sweetened with Prosecco is enough to make you happy just by looking at its color. I might bias to this drink, which I can be found making pitchers of, but it really is a refreshingly great cocktail. My favorite spots to enjoy a Spritz in Paris:
Lou Lou: the most enjoyable garden location near the Louvre.
Saint Severin: Located right outside the Saint-Michel metro stop and the Fountaine Saint-Michel, it’s the perfect place to people watch!
#3. Escargot – I have always associated snails to the 1995 Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movie “It Takes Two”. They try escargot for the first time and exclaim, “this taste like a balloon”. I still chuckle thinking about that. Snails don’t in fact taste like a balloon. They’re delectable bursts of flavor! Without the burst. OMG gross, but be humored for a moment that there is Tumblr review about this movie.
#4. Croissant – Another “duh” here. Croissants in Paris are the freshest layer of butter to touch your tongue.
#5. Niçoise Salad – Only in Paris can you count on ordering a Niçoise salad and have it be phenomenal everywhere! I probably had one every single day. A perfect bed of lettuce with smoked salmon, and sometimes shrimp, drizzled with a classic French mustard vinaigrette.
If anything, move Paris from your bucket list to your will do list! Just GO! Experience the city and taste all the delectable cuisine that France has to offer.
