Jul 20 A Good Martini

I love a good martini.

Now there are many ways to make or order a martini. I wonder how many times "how to properly order a martini" has been googled?

All I can say is I like mine dirty. Extra dirty.

One time at Buddakan, I ordered it "extra dirty, extra olives" and I found myself handed a glass with a long toothpick swirled with olives across the top. Less is not more in this case! I ate an olive with every sip I took. YUM!!

I confess, I tend to order vodka martini's more often than gin martinis. Perhaps "Grey Goose extra dirty martini" just rolls off the tongue right. The "proper" way to order a martini is not with vodka and is definitely not dirty. My brother never fails to remind me that I order them wrong. I'm in legendary company, because so does James Bond.

I mean, when I was freshly 21, I googled how to order drinks properly. Haha! I just really wanted to sound like I knew what I was doing.

But who really cares right?! Just order - the way you like.
